The GLA collects personal information from you in several ways whilst you use the Website:

When you register with the GLA to provide feedback, ask a question, make a comment or complaint or provide information for any other purpose, we will need to know your name, contact details (eg address, e-mail address, telephone number) and details of your query.

The GLA will use the information provided by you to deal with your request and we may contact you for further information. The GLA may also use the information in order to improve and develop the Website and the services provided by the GLA as a whole.

2 How we protect your information

2.1 The internet is not a secure medium and it is important that you are aware that any information sent via the internet may be intercepted. If you send any information via email this will not be sent using a secure transmission method and may be read by others.

2.2 Any personal information collected by the GLA shall be held and processed securely using appropriate procedures and all staff and agents processing personal data are aware of their obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998. The GLA shall only hold personal information for as long as necessary in order to fulfill the purpose for collecting the information.

2.3 The GLA may transfer the management of the Website to a third party and in such an event you agree to your information being transferred/and or processed by the third party. The GLA shall ensure that any organisation managing the Website is contractually obliged to comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and this Privacy Policy.
